Spokesmen
The three DE-CIX spokesmen are elected by the DE-CIX customers once every three years. The spokesmen represent both DE-CIX customers to the DE-CIX Management GmbH and the Internet community.

Bernhard Krönung joined DE-CIX as a customer in 1997 and was elected a DE-CIX spokesman in 2003 and a member of the advisory board of the company. In 1987 he started a small mailbox-bbs, which connected to the Internet/Usenet shortly thereafter - and while at the university, he started a small non-for profit ISP in 1992 - and after this in 1995 a professional business-ISP, regio[.NET].
