In Europe Equinix does provide IP connectivity to its data center customers, too. To enhance the quality and resilience of its IP service Equinix has chosen to connect the ALP-IX Exchange.

ALP-IX in Munich is a new Internet Exchange that offers direct and settlement-free IP interconnection ("peering") to other IP networks which operate a Point-of-Presence in the city of Munich. ALP-IX is owned and operated by DE-CIX Management GmbH based in Frankfurt.
