We are proud to announce that on Monday, October 20th, DE-CIX peak traffic
reached 500Gbps for the very first time. 12 month ago DE-CIX's peak traffic
was approx 200Gbps. This means traffic has grown around 150% in just one
year. The growth is driven by both a higher demand from existing customers
and by new DE-CIX customers. From October 2007 to October 2008 DE-CIX
connected over 60 new customer networks. DE-CIX now operates over 250
TenGigabit connections - this makes DE-CIX the largest Force10 based
Internet exchange in the world.
