Private Interconnects
DE-CIX public peering customers can order private interconnects through DE-CIX. A private interconnect is a dark fiber point-to-point interconnection used to access the DE-CIX public peering platform (available at all sites) or to interconnect networks directly in order to establish private peering or IP transit connections.
A flexible cabling system offers quick and direct access to all types of Providers. Circuits are ordered online and will be established quickly and easily.

How to order
This describes how to order your connection to the DE-CIX Munich switch if you are located at Equinix, Seidlstr. 3/ Hopfenpost
The process of ordering a patch from your rack at your colo provider to the DE-CIX Munich switch consists of two parts:
Order a patch from DE-CIX Munich to your colo provider
Order a patch from your equipment at Equinix to the DE-CIX Munich presence
1. Order a patch from DE-CIX Munich to your Colo provider
Please send an email to support@de-cix.net with your company and contact details plus the following information:
Location A is "Patchpanel Equinix"
Location B is "EQX-DE-CIX Munich"
Connection is "DarkFiber"
Type is "SM patch to DE-CIX Munich switch"
Within a few days we will then send you the exact position of our presence at your colo provider (you will need this for the next step).
2. Order a patch from your rack to the DE-CIX Munich presence
Use your colo providers procedure to order the patch from your rack to the presence we gave you.

For "Customer B" use the presence position we supplied to you
