Last week we broadcasted our first virtual Interconnection Summit from Madrid. Over 450 viewers joined us for an exciting event during which we also announced our 25th Internet Exchange – DE-CIX Barcelona.
Digital everywhere, for everything, and everyone
Broadcasted twice to accommodate different time zones, the events concentrated on the new role of Madrid and southern Europe on the global interconnection map. In addition, DE-CIX International CEO Ivo Ivanov was joined by industry experts to talk about how the digitalization of enterprise business models impacts interconnection services.
Due to the circumstances the summit was held online for the first time. The benefit of an online event is of course that it is open for people from around the globe and we had participants from Malaysia to Namibia, from Finland to Argentina, and everywhere in between.
