DE-CIX offers direct access to the Microsoft Azure Peering Service. The service provides highly reliable and optimized Internet connectivity to Microsoft's services (all Microsoft Azure prefixes); it improves the user experience for Microsoft’s SaaS services by offering the shortest networks path to the nearest edge POP in the Microsoft network.
Latency optimization and traffic monitoring
With the Microsoft Azure Peering Service, Microsoft customers get a qualified validation of the prefix and if the correct edge location from Microsoft is assigned.
The DE-CIX infrastructure setup towards Microsoft is locally redundant and supports failover across multiple locations (geo redundancy). This guarantees a high-performance connectivity with the lowest possible latency. In addition, customers that are connected via the Microsoft Azure Peering Service can take advantage of Internet latency telemetry and route monitoring, getting alerts for hijacks, leaks, and any other Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) misconfigurations.
No minimum bandwidth required
No minimum bandwidth is required to connect via DE-CIX to the Microsoft Azure Peering Service. The service is available at all DE-CIX Exchanges in Germany (except Berlin), Southern Europe (except Palermo), and New York, wherever Microsoft is connected.
