DirectCLOUD teaser

DE-CIX is expanding its DirectCLOUD service with support for Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute Metro Setup in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and New York, with Madrid to follow soon. This upgrade gives enterprises a higher‑resilience option for connecting to Microsoft Azure through dual-homed, private connectivity within a single metropolitan area.

Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute Metro is a high-resiliency configuration including two independent Azure peering locations per city, significantly increasing availability and reducing the risk of site-level outages. Combined with DE-CIX’s global interconnection platform, customers gain a more robust and predictable path to Azure for mission-critical workloads.

Key customer benefits include:

  • Higher availability: Dual-site connectivity ensures improved uptime for critical applications.
  • Stronger fault tolerance: Protection against single-location failures for uninterrupted service.
  • Consistent performance: Private, low-latency connectivity to Azure services.
  • Enterprise-grade resilience: Ideal for organizations needing enhanced reliability without multi-region complexity.
  • Simple integration: Seamless use through DirectCLOUD.

With this expansion, DE-CIX continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider of resilient, high-performance cloud connectivity for enterprises worldwide.
