The “Digital Future Summit: ALPSiX powered by DE-CIX” marks the official launch of the ALPSiX Internet Exchange and underscores Klagenfurt-Villach’s role as a neutral digital interconnection hub in the Alps-Adriatic region. It brings together networks, companies, and public institutions on a carrier- and data center-neutral platform, enabling direct routing and lower latency.

By keeping data traffic within the region and adding new interconnection options, ALPSiX supports innovation hubs, businesses, and public services across Kärnten and Southern Austria, strengthening regional connectivity and digital resilience.

By adding new interconnection options and redundant paths, ALPSiX positions Klagenfurt-Villach as Southern Austria’s interconnection center, connecting the Alps‑Adriatic region to European and global markets through the DE‑CIX ecosystem, including a resilient path to DE‑CIX Frankfurt.
