DE-CIX Brazil is ready for business

We have officially launched our two new Internet Exchanges in Brazil: DE-CIX Sao Paulo and DE-CIX Rio de Janeiro. These new interconnection hubs will revolutionize the way networks connect in Brazil, offering a more resilient, efficient, and high-performance ecosystem for businesses, ISPs, and content providers.

Distributed and neutral Internet Exchanges

DE-CIX Sao Paulo and DE-CIX Rio de Janeiro are built on a distributed model, with infrastructure housed in multiple data centers across each city:

• São Paulo: Elea Data Centers SPO1, Ascenty SP4, and Equinix SP4
• Rio de Janeiro: Elea Data Centers RJO1 and Equinix RJ2

The two Internet Exchanges will be interconnected from the very start. DE-CIX Brazil will also be fully integrated into DE-CIX’s global IX ecosystem: Leveraging both south-to-north and south-to-south Atlantic connectivity corridors, this interconnection ensures businesses in Brazil gain direct access to thousands of networks worldwide. This allows for seamless remote peering across domestic and international networks within Brazil.
