We are very proud of DE-CIX Malaysia receiving an award in the Connectivity – telecommunications category at the second Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2020, presented by Singapore Business Review. The awards honours Malaysian companies that have contributed in a remarkable way to transforming industries through technology.
Interconnecting more than 40 networks
DE-CIX Malaysia is an elemental part of bringing our interconnection ecosystem right to the edge to serve the South East Asian region with top-quality interconnection services. More than 40 national and international players already peer at our Internet Exchange in Johor Bahru, including Google, Twitter, Facebook, and Globe Telecom. In the near future, we will also introduce a shared interconnection platform where participants of the Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore exchange will be able to interconnect.
Now in its second year, the SBR Malaysia Technology Excellence awards give recognition to companies with the most disruptive products and solutions that have successfully transformed industries and business models, as a direct response to the changing needs and expectations of the market and customers. Winners were judged on the basis of uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness and impact, as well as dynamism. More than 25 companies were hailed in this year’s online event.
