New DE-CIX Dallas enabled site: DataBank

DE-CIX Dallas has extended its reach with a new PoP in DataBank's Dallas data center at 400 South Akard (DFW1). The switch is now live, and the additional POP offers networks colocated in DataBank’s multiple Dallas facilities opportunities to connect directly to DE-CIX's Dallas, enabling reach to over 60 networks.

Network operators can reach DE-CIX Dallas cost-effectively via a standard cross connect at any of the ever-growing number of data center facilities throughout the local market. In addition, networks throughout the entire Southwest that currently lack a presence in Dallas can access DE-CIX via transport connections and benefit from peering, enhancing connectivity throughout the region.

“DE-CIX Dallas is committed to providing network operators in the Dallas metro market with the greatest number of interconnection options,” comments Ed d’Agostino, Vice President and General Manager of DE-CIX North America. “We’re excited to be expanding and adding a great new partner like DataBank. Our partnership provides the market with a new and ideal diverse solution and offers a great place for single-site networks within the Dallas market to connect to a world-class peering exchange. Networks of all types, including those that are looking for diversity from Infomart, will find an excellent new home for their equipment with DataBank.”

“DataBank, being a Dallas-based company with three data centers in the metro area, is an ideal partner for DE-CIX as we expand and strengthen our coverage and enhance diversity and redundancy solutions throughout Dallas and beyond,” continues d’Agostino. “We look forward to seeing this collaboration benefit network operators throughout the Southwest region.”
