We warmly welcome ScaleUp Technologies as new cloud service provider available via DE-CIX DirectCLOUD. ScaleUp operates its own open source cloud infrastructure to enable scalable cloud and hybrid cloud setups. With ScaleUp as the latest addition to the list of available cloud service providers, DirectCLOUD now offers access to more than 40 cloud service providers.

ScaleUP technologies not only make their own cloud services available via DE-CIX DirectCLOUD, but they have also joined us as a certified DirectCLOUD data center, offering their customers access to a variety of cloud service providers.

In addition, we warmly welcome G-FIT, Komro, and R-KOM as certified DirectCLOUD ISPs. Customers of these companies can now easily connect to 40+ cloud service providers just via a VLAN.

ScaleUp Technologies was founded under the name internet4YOU more than 20 years ago. Today, ScaleUp hosts over 2,000 websites and apps, serving more than 500 customer projects – from the initial idea through to operations management of complex, multi-site business hosting solutions. Since 2011 ScaleUp also operates its own open source cloud infrastructure to enable scalable cloud and hybrid cloud setups. In autumn 2017, the Open Cloud offer was extended to a sister cloud in Berlin.

The aim of G-FIT (Association for Innovative Telecommunications Services) is the joint development, provision, and marketing of telecommunications services, such as high quality voice telephony, Internet backbone connectivity, and other emerging technologies. The G-FIT model is based on the cooperation of municipal partners. G-FIT was founded in 2003 and today, in addition to the shareholders, 20 regional telecommunications companies use G-FIT services and benefit from municipal cooperation.

Founded in 1998, the municipal telecommunications company in Rosenheim offers its more than 25,000 private and business customers a large number of products for telephony and Internet access at up to 400 Mbps via a modern fiber optic cable network. The cable television product "komro digi" is nationwide one of the most comprehensive packages of free-to-air digital TV channels, many of them in HD quality, some already in UHD. Internet access up to 10 Gbit/s, as well as future-proof virtual telephone systems complete the portfolio for medium and large business customers. Since June 2015, komro has been offering a free WLAN service for citizens and guests under the brand name "komro CITY WLAN" in Rosenheim. Almost the entire inner city area is supplied by a dense network of 150 hotspots.

R-KOM was founded in 1997, when the shareholders – who were suppliers of water, electricity and gas networks – pooled their telecommunications infrastructure. Initially, the offer of the R-KOM was limited to the economy and the public sector but today R-KOM in Eastern Bavaria has a number of city networks connected to a regional network. These are high-speed fiber optic cable networks, offering various accesses to national and international fixed networks. R-KOM relies on long-term success and constantly invests in the expansion of its own telecommunications infrastructure.
