We are currently witnessing the next evolution of DNS with the introduction of DNS over HTTPs and TLS. This is often combined with additional security features like malware blocking and DNSSEC validation. Quad9, with the support of their partner Packet Clearing House (PCH), are driving this development and, due to increased customer demand, are increasing their capacity at DE-CIX Frankfurt by the factor of 10 to 100Gbps.
